As for the rest of you, here are my picks (in bold type) for teams advancing out of group play at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, starting with tomorrow's opening match between host team South Africa and the Tri Colores (aka Mexico).

• Group D: Germany, Australia, Serbia, Ghana
• Group E: Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon
• Group F: Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand, Slovakia
• Group G (aka Group of Death): Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Portugal
• Group H: Spain, Switzerland, Honduras, Chile
